Lost Freedoms

We live in an era of increasingly lost freedoms. The computer age and other advanced technologies make it easier for our government to track our every move. Your movements, whereabouts, travels, purchases, conversations, computer activity, and what you thought were secret activities. They no longer exist.

You are being tracked...

 like a bit of inventory. Call it the tracking of humankind. The end of freedom of movement. Fully stripped of our humanity, we are ready to be tracked like any other service or product. Like any other consumer good. Isn't that what we are? A good? Ever notice people are not referred to as people, always the consumer? Soon we might be called ‘subjects’.

The Electronic Police State has increasingly been creeping upon us. Now, with the Socialistic agenda of Obama in power we are on the precipice of losing even more freedoms and associated privacy. Too many voters are proud to be called ‘progressives’, when in reality repressiveness is a more appropriate reference.

Telephone

Mobile phone tracking shows the current position of a mobile phone even on the move. To locate the phone, it must emit at least the roaming signal to contact the next nearby antenna tower, but the process does not require an active call. Mobile phones can also be ‘tapped’ and recordings made of conversations. Most everyone is familiar with land-line telephone wire-taps and recording of conversations, as well as telephone records of numbers called, incoming call numbers, length of conversation, date of call, etc. 

Computer tracking software is an application that records everything that is done on the PC. This software can be installed directly on the computer, with or without knowledge of the owner. There is also a technology known as computer forensics that is performed by experts who can find anything that has ever been done on the computer, including information that was deleted. If you think you can permanently delete information from your computer, you are in for a surprise.

Additionally, the new ‘health reform’ bill allows government access to your bank accounts, primarily checking, to guarantee their ability to receive required payments, which can and probably will be made via electronic transfer from your account to a government agency account. Be aware that the ability of the government to abuse this system exist and our ability to outsmart them isn’t likely.

The ‘health reform’ bill requires total electronic medical records for every person. What a tremendous loss of privacy for every citizen!! The government will know so much about us that will enable them to make decisions not in our best interests and if this isn’t Socialism then I am Obama’s half-brother (which I would deny even if true).

Janet Napolitano is Obama's newly chosen chief of the Department of Homeland Security. She supports plans for tracking the location of every American with a transmitter imbedded driver's license. "The radio frequency identity (RFID) tag that will be embedded into the driver’s license can be read not only by authorized readers, but just as easily by unauthorized readers. This new enhanced driver's license will allow people to secretly track other people's activities and movements unless privacy protection is added. You will be a walking GPS activated person who can be tracked within your vehicle, while walking, while at work, and while visiting other people. In the future, you will need the following to obtain a driver's license:

1. You will have to provide four approved proofs of identity to renew your driver's license.

2. Your driver's license will include an increasing amount of private information, including a possible tracking device. These global tracking devices are already planned for implantation in new passports.

3. You can expect your personal information placed in a central database clearinghouse, available to corrupt or intrusive government employees and creative hackers.

Our driving records are computer-based and can easily be accessed by various branches of every level of government. No privacy here!

Any and all insurance records can be accessed not only by insurance company personnel but government agencies, and unauthorized persons who know how to steal computer-based information.

Electronic prescription fill orders are now being used by doctors in preparation to meet requirements of the new ‘health reform’ bill. Pharmacy processing of these orders will be via a computer database that will be accessible by the doctor, pharmacy, government agencies, and unauthorized persons who know how to steal computer-based information.

This has for years been a source of private information for companies, government agencies, private individuals, and unauthorized persons who know how to steal computer-based information. This is also a system that can be manipulated to make your credit rating appear artificially bad. Tremendous power can be exerted over us by this system.

Store transactions are recorded in much detail, especially credit or debit card transactions. Date, time, place, cash register, cashier, merchandise description including all barcode information which includes place of manufacture, date made, received in store, etc. Additionally, if the cash register location of the purchase is known, which it is, the store security camera for that area can be reviewed to prove if you were the person who made the purchase.

This is a tremendous tool for tracking people’s habits of shopping locations, merchandise purchases (such as guns and ammunition, chemicals, bread and milk).

Currently all deposits and withdrawals of $10,000 or more must be reported by bank personnel to a government agency. This has been in effect for years, but now if the government elects to monitor each and every deposit or withdrawal for a specific person they can do so with ease. They could do it for every citizen. Don’t bet that it won’t happen.

This information can be obtained by anyone but in the hands of our federal government it’s just another weapon they can use to discover everything possible about us and use it to their ends.

Car manufacturers have the ability to place a ‘black box’ in new vehicles that monitors the speed of the vehicle, driving maneuvers, steering, braking, and other elements of vehicle operation that are stored in the ‘black box’ for retrieval by date and time. This is an issue that was pushed for by our good old insurance companies and naturally endorsed by our good old boys and girls in government. More ammunition that can be used by our government to control us.

The Second Amendment (Amendment II) to the United States Constitution is the part of the United States Bill of Rights that protects a right to keep and bear arms. The Second Amendment was adopted on December 15, 1791, along with the rest of the Bill of Rights.

Any government initiative to develop a database of information that could be accessed if and when the government decides to confiscate all privately held guns in the hands of citizens presents a serious and dangerous situation that infringes upon citizen rights. Just look at countries that have done such and ask yourself if you like the ultimate outcome??

The government can track gun ownership via ammunition purchases. There is no justification for our government to monitor ammunition purchases by citizens.

Cable and satellite television systems make it very easy to monitor what is viewed by citizens. The Socialistic direction of our country could become so extreme as to have our government telling us what we can and cannot view on television or listen to on the radio. For you unbelievers, just look at China, Cuba, and numerous other government controlled citizens.

This information is already known by our government but if our government becomes more radical, as seems to be the direction we are headed, they can utilize this information to redistribute the wealth, or any other socialistic purpose they desire.
