Devil contains the word “evil” and when spelled backward the word “lived” appears; both when combined state “evil lived”. This statement is in the past tense, which gives hope that Satan isn’t among us.
This isn’t likely, as evident by the evil that exists throughout the world and continues to be perpetrated on innocent people. Those who commit evil acts lack a conscience and have never known the feeling of remorse. They serve Satan, who thirsts for the souls of all people and will stop at nothing to bring us over to his side.
Regardless of one’s beliefs, it is undeniable that good and bad people live in this world. How do we explain what made each of them the way they are and are we left to believe it will be this way until the end of earth’s days? Isn’t this why we choose to believe in a supreme being that gives us hope that we will be saved from evil and gain an everlasting life in the presence of good personified?
Throughout the history of our world peoples everywhere have worshipped spirits, or one spirit, that gives them hope they otherwise would not have. This need seems to be built into our DNA, yet it is absent in some people. For those people I truly feel sorrow because of the loneliness they must feel when life deals them a hand they cannot control. When death knocks at their door they have no one to turn to for comfort, forgiveness, and mercy. This must provide the makings of a restless soul and spirit, which has no home after death of the body. How sad and what a waste of life given by something greater than any of us.
I believe in God, my one and only God, and I have total comfort in the knowledge of His promise that if I ask for His forgiveness I will receive it and be granted His mercy. This is how I will pass from this life in a temporary home called a body, to my permanent spiritual home in Paradise. This gives me an unbelievable amount of comfort and a total absence of fear of the certain death that awaits each of us.
Laugh if you must, cry if so inclined, but it’s my hope that these words will place reassurance in your heart that you are never alone. Something much greater than any person who has ever lived is on your side watching over you with unconditional love and power to overcome any and all obstacles that stand between you and His Paradise. He lives.
Whoever would overthrow the liberty of a nation must begin by subduing the freeness of speech.
Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)
